Another well dressed saltwater fly fishing pattern from the Donegal Fly Fishing Company

This pattern is based on that American stalwart "The Surf Candy" used to great effect by the American anglers for species such as Striper Bass, Tarpon and a host of other species. Its success is based on the streamlined shape which imitates the fry upon which many species prey. The front body is coated in epoxy resin, ideal for achieving depth and creating a translucent appearance similar to many fry species. The rear of the fly is characterised by various materials, mainly synthetics containing twinkle and flash, all designed to create the illusion of a fry species. The colours of this range have been chosen by Bob Moss ans have undergone a rigorous testing regime before being introduced by Bob to us. We are confident that the three colours will fit most, if not all, situations. All patterns are available in three different sizes which will allow a certain amount of variation with regard to the species being fished for or the bait fish being imitated
