The Polarfry style of fly is somewhat of a conglomeration of a number of styles of Saltwater flies. It has a long, flowing tail which emanates from behind the head of the pattern, forming a wing in the process. The head area contains two large eyes which have received the "Epoxy-Resin" treatment, assisting with depth-achievement and creating a slight imbalance in the overall swimming pattern of the fly, imitating that of an injured baitfish. This is compounded by the Hot Spot at the gill area, often a tell-tale sign of injury to a baitfish which has been attacked and remains vulnerable to a predator immediately following the shoal attack
